Karine Khatcherian has a multi-faceted background in business and project development, deal execution, origination, and research/strategy.
She co-leads NewWorld Capital Group’s investments in Environmental Opportunities and brings a strong record of successful investments in the power, renewables and infrastructure sectors, having led or participated in due diligence of transactions with an aggregate enterprise value in excess of $32 billion globally, and closed transactions with an enterprise value of $7.5 billion.
Mrs. Khatcherian is the Founder and CEO of Enervest Capital, LLC, a firm providing contracted “in-house” services to management companies, developers, lenders, governmental institutions. Mrs. Khatcherian’s clients included equity investors, banks, and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Guarantee Program, for which she served as a Senior Credit Advisor for five years.
Prior to Enervest Capital, Mrs. Khatcherian was Lead Senior Research Analyst covering European Utilities for Sanford C. Bernstein, Inc. As a Senior Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services, Mrs. Khatcherian led origination, diligence, structuring, credit review, execution and partnership management of complex transactions at all levels of the capital structure (partnerships, preferred equity, tax equity, development loans, etc.) and all stages of project completion (development, construction and operations). Mrs. Khatcherian started her career at ABB Equity Ventures where she led development and acquisition of infrastructure projects and companies in the U.S. and Latin America
Karine Khatcherian graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Génie Industriel (Grenoble, France), with a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, and holds an advanced master’s degree (Diplôme D’Etudes Approfondies) in Financial Management from the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (Grenoble, France).
