Bob Milligan

Managing Director

Bob is currently a Managing Director at Closed Loop Partners, working across the firm’s investment and research branches, with a particular focus on the Closed Loop Infrastructure Fund. Bob works closely with all of the portfolio companies, providing them with strategic advice, connecting them with other stakeholders across the recycling value chain, and welcoming them into the wider Closed Loop Partners ecosystem.

Bob has more than 40 years of experience in the waste industry. After owning and operating his own private waste company for 14 years, he merged with BFI waste systems. Bob held multiple executive positions with BFI and Allied Waste for 21 years in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets, growing and developing waste hauling, recycling, and composting programs into some of the largest in the company. He also started medical waste hauling and disposal on the East Coast for BFI Medical Waste Systems in the 1980s.

In 2005 Bob continued his passion for recycling by assisting to create and grow a Recycling Rewards Company that went national. He was Regional VP for Recyclebank in the Mid-Atlantic and New England Regions for 8 years.
