Marina Machin Alvarez
Marina is an MBA Investment Intern on the Closed Loop Growth Equity team. She supports across the deal process including origination, execution, structuring, due diligence, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Marina earned her MBA from Columbia Business School, where she specialized in sustainable investing and Entrepreneurship. While at Columbia, she interned at Kalei Ventures (a Latam-based VC fund) where she developed the end-to end investment thesis for CleanTech, FoodTech and AgriTech.
Previously, Marina spent five years at Credit Agricole CIB energy and infrastructure group. There, she advised and structured over 15 transactions with a total enterprise value of $10 billion. Marina is now building up her credentials in equity investments with a commitment to technology that enables economic resilience. She recently co-authored a paper tackling “Investable Landscape for Biodiversity Solutions” that investigates the intersection between climate change and natural capital.
Marina holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MS (Management) from E.M.Lyon Business School and a BA in Finance from Comillas Pontifical University- ICADE.
