Sonia Mahajan

Program Manager

Sonia is a Program Manager at Closed Loop Partners’ Center for the Circular Economy, working in a cross-functional capacity on strategy and engagement opportunities across projects. Sonia supports in developing cross-cutting research and analysis based on Center learnings from the NextGen Consortium, Consortium to Reinvent the Retail Bag, Composting Consortium and more.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Sonia worked as a Senior Analyst at Bella Private Markets, a private market consulting firm, on several Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) related projects. Sonia also has varied experience in other start-ups in the sustainable finance and slow fashion industries.

Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. Her coursework focused on the intricacies of the circular economy, best practices in sustainability management, how to conduct a life cycle assessment (LCA), writing sustainability reports with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and modeling sustainable investments.

Outside of the office, you can find Sonia testing out a new recipe, trying out a new restaurant or perusing a local thrift/antique store!
