Peter Makey
Strategic Partnerships
Peter is an ICM Mosaic Fellow at Closed Loop Partners supporting the Strategic Partnerships team. Working at the intersection of the firm’s investment and innovation arms, he is responsible for identifying high-priority growth opportunities and supporting corporate and institutional partner engagement across asset classes.
Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Peter served as a Vice President on EQT’s Private Capital Sustainability Team, where he drove sustainability integration across the full investment lifecycle. In this capacity, Peter led sustainability due diligence, partnered with portfolio company management teams to implement sustainability value creation plans, and led execution of EQT’s decarbonization strategy across Private Equity, Growth and Venture Capital.
Prior to joining EQT, Peter worked at Grant Thornton supporting government agencies, public and private companies, and financial institutions in developing and executing commercially led sustainability programs.
Peter holds an MS in Climate Finance from Columbia University and a BA in Government and English from William & Mary.
