Carolina Lobel

Carol is a Senior Director at the Closed Loop Center for the Circular Economy, driving multi-sector action to reduce waste and develop reuse infrastructure at scale. Her work includes spearheading citywide initiatives such as the Petaluma Reusable Cup Project, partnering with local governments, retailers and community stakeholders to build, test and operationalize the next generation of reuse systems.
Carol is a reusable packaging pioneer and a recognized expert in designing and scaling circular systems. With nearly 15 years of packaging innovation leadership, she has helped global brands, retailers and municipalities shift from linear waste models to more sustainable, circular solutions.
Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Carol was part of the founding team of Loop, TerraCycle’s reusable packaging platform, where she worked with major consumer brands to bring durable, refillable products into mainstream retail. Earlier in her career, she led record-breaking product launches and sustainability initiatives across Latin America at Procter & Gamble.
Carol holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
