
Jackson Pei
Jackson is Managing Director and Co-Head of Closed Loop Partners’ Leadership Group, the firm’s buyout private equity strategy. He leads the investment team in all aspects of the deal process including deal origination, execution, due diligence, value creation, portfolio management and realizations.
Throughout his career, Jackson has amassed extensive experience in corporate finance and deal execution with private equity firms and global organizations. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, he worked at Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, a $90B investment management firm, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing new middle market buyout, growth equity and venture capital investment opportunities. He led and developed multiple new investment themes for the firm, including circular economy, waste management, industrial decarbonization and smart cities. Prior to that, he spent several years at J.P. Morgan in their Financial Sponsors Group and Chase Capital, where he was responsible for executing and managing leveraged buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, structured debt and equity, carve-outs, recapitalizations and IPO transactions. As part of the founding execution team in Middle Market Financial Sponsors Group, he contributed to the development of J.P. Morgan’s $10B Private Credit Fund.
Jackson led Closed Loop Leadership Group’s investment in Sage Sustainable Electronics, Relectro, and Cascade Asset Management; Series C and follow-on investments in Apkudo; and the sale of Balcones and SMR to Circular Services. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Sage Sustainable Electronics and Board member of Apkudo. In addition, he serves on the leadership council of e-Stewards, a distinguished certification for electronic recyclers and refurbishers.
Jackson holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
