Kim Tran
Kim is the Executive Director of Operations and Development at Closed Loop Partners’ Center for Circular Economy, the firm’s innovation center for research, analysis and collaboration. She oversees business operations, staff development and strategic operational and financial planning in support of the Center’s mission, goals and objectives.
Kim has held leadership roles in the tech, retail and e-commerce industries at both startups and large organizations. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Kim was the Vice President of Operations at Rent the Runway, leading the company’s investment strategies in scaling the Fashion and Inventory organization and initiating transformative change across multiple departments. After seeing the growing business opportunity and amount of waste generated by decommissioned clothing, Kim was instrumental in ideating, identifying partners for, and then launching their resale business model. Prior to this, Kim began her career in retail at Bloomingdale’s as a merchant and inventory planner.
Kim holds a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Brown University.
