Kim Tran
Kim is the Executive Director of Operations and Development at Closed Loop Partners’ Center for Circular Economy, an innovation center for research, analysis and collaboration to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. Her role includes operationalizing the Center’s strategic growth plan and maximizing the Center’s impact and reach.
Kim has held leadership roles in the tech, retail and e-commerce industries at both startups and large organizations.
Prior to her time running her own business as a strategy and operations consultant, Kim was the VP of Operations at Rent the Runway, leading the company’s investment strategies in scaling the Fashion and Inventory organization and initiating transformative change across multiple departments. After seeing the growing business opportunity and amount of waste generated by decommissioned clothing, Kim was instrumental in ideating, identifying partners for, and then launching their resale business model.
Kim began her career in retail at Bloomingdale’s as a merchant and inventory planner. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Brown University.
