Marissa Pieratt
Marissa is a Partnerships Associate at Closed Loop Partners, where she supports business development efforts to grow and strengthen the firm’s network of corporate partners and investors. She helps lead strategic fundraising coordination, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to advance the firm’s mission of accelerating the circular economy.
Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Marissa was a senior climate and sustainability consultant at APCO, a global advisory and communications firm. She worked with a diverse range of clients – including multinational corporations, government ministries, and NGOs – advising on effective climate strategies, high-impact stakeholder engagement, and strategic positioning at global multilateral convenings. Her portfolio spanned natural climate solutions, circular economy strategy, coalition engagement, and regional climate advisory, particularly in the Middle East. In addition to client work, Marissa led climate-focused business development and brand positioning for the firm and managed complex, multi-stakeholder projects across its global offices.
She also brings experience in philanthropic strategy and nonprofit operations, having worked at the We Mean Business Coalition, a global nonprofit driving private sector and policy action to accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy. There, she played a key role in strengthening funder engagement, improving grantmaking operations, and supporting the organization’s long-term growth and strategic evolution.
