Unpacking Customer Perspectives on Reusable Packaging

In 2018 alone, over 28% of all garbage in the U.S. was comprised of packaging, amounting to 82 million tons of material typically thrown out after just a single use. How can we re-envision this linear, take-make-waste system? How can we keep valuable resources in circulation for multiple uses in a more circular economy? Integrating reusable packaging solutions is one place to start. To achieve the widespread uptake of reusable packaging, customer support is key. In this report, we present our learnings on reusable packaging from the perspective of U.S.-based customers, providing a glimpse into prevailing attitudes and the factors shaping this rapidly evolving landscape.
