Jennifer serves as an investment committee member for two of four thematic debt funds under management, which focus on the circularity of packaging materials in North America.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Jennifer spent over a decade of her 20-year career managing and contributing to the growth of a multi-billion-dollar emerging market-focused debt portfolio––leading origination and credit underwriting for transactions spanning pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, logistics and energy. She transitioned into an impact-first investing role in 2017 and has led organizations through strategy development and execution, including leading fundraising and structuring of new impact funds. 

Throughout her tenure at Closed Loop Partners, Jennifer closed loan transactions for multiple recycling companies, including municipal and privately owned and operated materials recovery facilities, glass processing facilities, and refinancings and restructurings for multiple plastics processing assets. She and her team have also strategically deployed an equity sleeve to make impactful investments in enabling technologies and non-control stake investments to facilitate acquisitions and ecosystem building. She serves as a Board observer for multiple portfolio companies. 

Jennifer holds a BS in Management, with a concentration in Finance and Economics, from Binghamton University. 

Throughout his career, Jackson has amassed extensive experience in corporate finance and deal execution with private equity firms and global organizations. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, he worked at Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, a $90B investment management firm, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing new middle market buyout, growth equity and venture capital investment opportunities. He led and developed multiple new investment themes for the firm, including circular economy, waste management, industrial decarbonization and smart cities. Prior to that, he spent several years at J.P. Morgan in their Financial Sponsors Group and Chase Capital, where he was responsible for executing and managing leveraged buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, structured debt and equity, carve-outs, recapitalizations and IPO transactions. As part of the founding execution team in Middle Market Financial Sponsors Group, he contributed to the development of J.P. Morgan’s $10B Private Credit Fund. 

Jackson led Closed Loop Leadership Group’s investment in Sage Sustainable Electronics, Relectro, and Cascade Asset Management; Series C and follow-on investments in Apkudo; and the sale of Balcones and SMR to Circular Services. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Sage Sustainable Electronics and Board member of Apkudo. In addition, he serves on the leadership council of e-Stewards, a distinguished certification for electronic recyclers and refurbishers. 

Jackson holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Erik holds a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation with over 23 years of public accounting experience and four years in government accounting, with experience working at the United States Embassy Association in Israel.  

He is active in his community as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT and recently retired from the US Air Force Reserve after 21 years of service. 

Erik holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University. 

Kim has held leadership roles in the tech, retail and e-commerce industries at both startups and large organizations. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Kim was the Vice President of Operations at Rent the Runway, leading the company’s investment strategies in scaling the Fashion and Inventory organization and initiating transformative change across multiple departments. After seeing the growing business opportunity and amount of waste generated by decommissioned clothing, Kim was instrumental in ideating, identifying partners for, and then launching their resale business model. Prior to this, Kim began her career in retail at Bloomingdale’s as a merchant and inventory planner.  

Kim holds a BA in Economics and Public Policy from Brown University. 

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Alicia served as Executive Assistant to C-level executives at YipitData, Advanced Generation & Efficiency, Healthy Planet Partners and Recyclebank. Earlier in her career, Alicia worked in a variety of backstage and onstage roles in Broadway and off-Broadway theaters, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. 

Alicia has been a volunteer with the Jolly Rovers Trail Crew, a 501c3 specializing in technical stone construction, for over a decade. 

Alicia holds a BFA in Theatre from Southern Oregon University. 

Key initiatives include identifying solutions to increase recycling and recovery of paper and plastic cups, innovating on the materials that comprise these packaging formats to make them more recoverable in the recycling system, and supporting the development of industry-leading reuse models and innovative alternatives to single-use packaging.  

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Dan spent nearly a decade in corporate sustainability consulting and clean energy development working for leading sustainability consulting firms and the Clinton Foundation’s Climate Initiative. 

Daniel holds an MA in International Affairs and Urbanization from the New School University and a BA from McGill University. 

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Carolina worked at TerraCycle, where she was in the founding team of Loop, a platform for reusable versions of products sold at retailers. Prior to that, she was at Procter & Gamble, where she managed the launch of record-breaking products and sustainability initiatives in Latin America. 

Carolina holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense. 

Paula has worked across sectors and along the supply chain in various operations and marketing roles. She began her career in water policy and later launched a startup that upcycled textile waste and employed women coming home from prison. Before joining Closed Loop Partners, she worked in operations and sourcing roles for brands including Nike, Amazon, and Starbucks.

Paula received her B.A. in Consumer Behavior from Cal Berkeley and her MBA and MS from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and School for Environment and Sustainability.

As a connector who brings brands together to catalyze behavior change, Sarah most recently partnered with Kroger, Ulta Beauty, Dollar General and 160+ others to activate a campaign to reduce single-use bag waste, impacting 2M+ customers. She also led an effort with 160+ global and local retailers across multiple states to support customers to adopt sustainable behaviors––reinforcing the habit of bringing their bags back into store. This led to an almost 5% reduction in plastic bag use, or the equivalent of up to 9.5M single-use bags annually across the two markets.  

Sarah brings a decade of experience spanning strategy consulting, impact investing and CSR, which she leverages to support the world’s most prominent brands to realize their sustainability goals. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Sarah worked for Arborview Capital, a private equity/venture capital firm that invests in companies building a more sustainable future. Prior to that, Sarah spent four years with Deloitte Consulting leading strategy and analytics projects for federal agencies, nonprofits and higher education institutions. At Deloitte, Sarah was selected to join Deloitte Global’s Corporate Social Responsibility team to develop and launch the firm’s 2030 impact strategy.

Sarah holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA in Public Policy from Princeton University. 

Matt brings over a decade of experience in designing and implementing sustainability initiatives that span consumer behavior change, policy, supply chain optimization, recycling and data analytics. Matt leads the Consortium to Reinvent the Retail Bag, an industry collaboration managed by the Center, which launched the world’s largest reusable bag pilot, assessed 40+ different legislative mechanisms and identified and vetted 25 tactical bag waste reduction strategies.  

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Matt worked at Deloitte Consulting as a practitioner in their supply chain practice. He specialized in analyzing and optimizing large organizations’ end-to-end supply chains, working across the retail, industrials, healthcare and automotive industries. Matt also worked at Dow, where he analyzed the economic and environmental value of a new plastics recovery program for four separate stakeholder groups, including materials recovery facilities. 

Matt holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan and a BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
