Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Utsab worked in investment banking at Moelis & Company in New York and began his career at Scotiabank in Toronto.

Utsab holds an HBA and BESc from the Ivey Business School and Western University.

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Ian worked in California as a Water Resource Technician with Watershed Progressive, where he installed and maintained rainwater, graywater, blackwater and stormwater reuse systems. He has also held roles in habitat restoration, sustainable food systems, trail work and other positions at the intersection of sustainability and biodiversity. With a background in communications, Ian has authored several pieces on climate impacts and education. His wide array of experience across sectors and organizations has led to a strong understanding of current sustainable practices, how they affect different communities and how action at scale pushes sustainable goals forward. 

Ian holds an MA in Climate and Society from the Columbia University Climate School and a BA in Theatre from Butler University, where he graduated cum laude and was named one of the Top 50 Outstanding Students in 2020. 

Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Risa worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as an Associate on the Corporate Business Team.  

She holds a BA from Doshisha University in Kyoto.
